  Been playing five a side for the best part of 40 years now. Nothing beats the old mitre balls with the hexagonal panels but alas they don’t make them anymore (think they were called super league or something like that). So we now always buy the ultimatch which are good but just don’t last as long as the old balls used to. Recently it tends to be the valve starting to leak that has been the signal to start thinking about buying another. Occasionally when I’ve not been in charge of buying the new ball somebody has strayed and bought an alternative make but they’re never as good as the mitre and we always revert back.
